Pastor Randy Hockema accepted the call to Lighthouse Baptist Church and began serving the church family in November 2025. With more than three decades of faithful ministry, Pastor Randy is known as a true “people’s pastor”—one who genuinely loves others and desires to see God’s Word lived out in everyday life.

A graduate of Maranatha Baptist University, Pastor Randy also holds Master of Ministry and Master of Theology degrees from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. His preaching and leadership are marked by a deep commitment to Scripture and a passion for helping believers grow in a real, practical walk with Christ.

Pastor Randy and his wife, Jennifer, recently relocated from the Midwest to Rocky Mount. They have been married for over 32 years and are blessed with three wonderful adult children, along with a delightful son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and the joy of a new granddaughter.

When he’s not serving the church, Pastor Randy is a big fan of college football and enjoys staying active by officiating high school basketball and soccer. He and Jennifer are grateful to call Lighthouse Baptist Church home and look forward to serving the community together for years to come.
